A glimpse inside people’s hearts…
So many people have given generously of their money, time, and advice to assist in making Thessalonians Five Eleven Foundation become a reality.
During a phone conversation this morning (Monday, March 20, 2023), I was informed that Ollie’s Bargain Outlet in Jessup, MD has the study bibles that I like for only $15.69 each. That is at least $30.00 less that what I generally pay. What a major savings to help with the other ideas I have.
Before my workday started, I headed there to wipe out Ollie’s stock. I left with 24 of them. I wanted 40. I gave them my business card and asked to be called if more come in. I will be checking back periodically myself.
Several people are giving me brand new bibles as well to fill my stock. Some of these bibles are written specifically for teenagers.
Seeing inside other people’s kind hearts has really touched mine. I was overwhelmed with relief and gratitude (for the savings) and was a bit emotional, while stacking the bibles in the cart and pushing it (very carefully) to the register (see pic). I kept telling myself to not cry in Ollies.
I truly cannot find the words to describe how grateful I am for all the support I am receiving in trying to get this “mission” accomplished.
Families with Food Insecurities
Betty Okonski, the woman that started SWES (Southwest Emergency Services) and managed it for 40 years + before retiring, and who has been a great cheerleader along with finding bibles on sale for my establishment of Thessalonians Five Eleven Foundation, has shared with me a concern about the food shortage at SWES.
This is a very serious matter as they provide for many families with food insecurities. I am asking for everyone’s help.
